Six PhD Scholarschips in Nanoscience available in Spain

The second call for applications is open for IDEAL PhD, a doctoral fellowship programme led by IMDEA Nanciencia in Madrid. In this second call, six talented predoctoral researchers are motivated to undertake a PhD research project in any of the programmes at the Institute:

  • Nanotechnology for energy harvesting
  • Quantum materials at the nanoscale
  • Nanotechnology for healthcare
  • nanomagnetism for Information and Communication Technologies
  • Ultrafast phenomena at the nanoscale
  • Nanotechnology for critial raw materials and sustainability

The first stage researchers are offered an innovative, truly interdisciplinary and intersectoral training in nanoscience and nanotechnology, in connection with international and industrial partners. 

Some important details

  • The fellowship will be offered for the duration of 3,5 years (42 months). On the IDEAL PhD website you can find a full list of PhD projects, along with the associated supervisor.
  • Applicants can not be in possession of a PhD in the research areas of Nanoscience.
  • Applicants can not have resided in Spain for more than twelve months during the three years prior to the call.
